for private room rentals in accordance with GDPR

The protection of your personal data is of utmost importance to us. Therefore, we process your data exclusively in accordance with legal regulations (GDPR, Telecommunications Act 2003). In this privacy policy, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our rental activities.

2. Collection and processing of personal data


We collect, process and store personal data exclusively within the framework of the legal regulations and to the extent that this is necessary to execute an accommodation contract.

The following data is processed:

  • First and Last Name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Email Address
  • Booking details (e.g. length of stay, number of people)
  • Payment information (e.g. bank details for transfer)

This data is required to process your booking, provide the accommodation and fulfill legal reporting obligations (e.g. guest list).


3. Legal basis for processing

Your data is processed on the following legal basis:

  • Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of contract): to process your booking
  • Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (legal obligation): to comply with statutory retention and reporting obligations
  • Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest): in improving our service or website operation

4. Data transfer

Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties, except:

  • to fulfil legal obligations (e.g. obligation to report to the municipality according to the Registration Act)
  • to booking platforms if you book there (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com – see their own privacy policies)

5. Storage period

We only store your data for as long as necessary to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations:

  • Booking and invoice data: 7 years (tax retention period)
  • Registration data: according to Section 10 of the Registration Act up to 1 year

6. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • Information about your stored data
  • Correction of incorrect data
  • Deletion of your data, unless there is a legal obligation to retain it
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
